Augusta, GA – Hans Troyer, former Augusta University cross country and track athlete and now a graduate assistant for both programs, won the USA Track & Field 50 Mile Championship this weekend in Boalsburg, Pennsylvania. Troyer set a new course record with a time of 5:16:14, surpassing the previous record by nearly 12 minutes. His pace was 6:19 per mile over the 50-mile course, which included 5,000 feet of vertical climb.
