It’s not somewhere many want to think about having to take their vehicles, but for Grovetown motorists, there’s a nearby collision center with a familiar name.
Classic Collision will open its third CSRA location on Sept. 30 at the rapidly growing William Few Parkway and Lewiston Road intersection. The company opened its Augusta location in August 2018 and its Aiken location in April.
Although the company has more than 20 locations in Alabama, Georgia and South Carolina, the company isn’t slowing down any time soon with more CSRA locations planned for the near future according to regional director and Augusta native Tracy Bryant.
“It’s really taken off and Tracy’s staff has done a real good job of doing the training that we need and equipping the stores properly,” Brandon Bishop, CEO of Classic Collision, said.
The Augusta market was the first outside of the Atlanta area for the company. Bishop said while they are primarily located in Atlanta, they are still a family-owned company and operate like one.
From GM to Mercedes Benz, the Grovetown location is expected to service approximately 300 vehicles per month which also puts a lot of people to work. The location has just over 60 employees ready to begin on Monday but Bryant hopes to grow that to 100 to 120.
“What we like to do is find some goal-oriented people that need some direction and really offer them a career path with ongoing training and really try to coach and mentor staff,” Bishop said.
Bryant is involved with the automotive program with the Columbia County School District and the company plans to continue working with future mechanics to pipeline them to their locations through other mentor programs.
