EDGEFIELD, S.C. – Tom Emery of Graniteville, S.C., scored 99×100 and captured the individual sporting clays championship recently at the National Wild Turkey Federation’s Palmetto Shooting Complex.

“I lost my concentration and missed that bird” and a shot at a perfect score, he said. But he won a Springfield 9mm pistol.

The team event was won by Augusta’s Lane Estes and Kevin McDougal. The competition benefitted Augusta University’s Culver Visionary Discovery Institute.

The shooting facility houses two sporting clays courses, five trap and skeet fields, a 3D archery range and other amenities. It is open to the public. For more information, call (803) 637-4780.
