Creativity will be on display at the annual Art After Dark event the Artists’ Guild of Columbia County will host in Evans on Nov. 9.
The organization’s signature event will celebrate visual art including watercolors, oils, acrylics, photography, pottery, fiber arts, jewelry and mixed media by over 50 guild artists at the Performing Arts Center at the Columbia County Library, 7022 Evans Town Center Blvd., from 7-10 p.m. Attendance is free.
Guests will be able to buy art and talk with the artists, and there will be live jazz music by Fred Williams, food and a cash bar and silent auction and raffle proceeds to go toward a college art scholarship.
Established in 2004, the Artists’ Guild of Columbia County is a nonprofit that provides opportunities for artists to exchange creative ideas and business information, display their artwork and learn more about different mediums. The guild is a group of professional and amateur artists and patrons of the arts.
The group promotes the visual arts, sponsors exhibits and offers projects of interest to artists and members of the community through workshops and classes. Classes are available for children, teens, adults and senior citizens in the Evans library cafe area. For more information, visit artistguildcc.org.
