Walmart in North Augusta will be hosting drive-in movies Oct. 9 and Oct. 10 in the store parking lot as part of the company’s touring pop-up event across America.
Each screening is free, but tickets are required for admittance and there is a capacity limit at each screening. Tickets are now available online . No tickets will be available onsite and must be acquired online ahead of time at walmartdrivein.com.
Movies to be shown will include “Wonder Woman,” “Spy Kids,” “Space Jam,” “Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse,” “Ghostbusters” (1984), “The Wizard of Oz,” “Black Panther,” “E. T. the Extra-Terrestrial,” and “Friday Night Lights.”
The movies to be shown in North Augusta have not been announced.
Tickets are required per carload attending rather than per person — a ticket holder may bring as many people as he/she wants so long as they can safely sit in their vehicles. All attendees are required to stay in their vehicles during the movie.
Other COVID-19 related safety measures include mask requirements when outside vehicles, socially distant parking spots, and onsite staff will be wearing protective equipment and will maintain 6 feet of distance between other staff and attendees.
Gates will open at 6 p.m. and each movie will start at 7:30 p.m. No late entry is allowed.
Outside food and drinks will be allowed except for alcohol.
Restrooms will be available inside Walmart. Masks will be required for entrance into the building.
The drive-in will occur rain or shine, but there may be changes in the event of severe weather.
