Interfaith Coalition plans Columbia County parade to urge voting

The Greater Augusta’s Interfaith Coalition, a nonprofit, community services organization is hosting a Power Up – Vote Parade at 1 p.m. Saturday.

Groups, organizations, elected officials, candidates, nonprofits and individuals in Columbia County are invited to celebrate Census 2020 and encourage all citizens to exercise their right to vote.

Cars, trucks, vans and buses are allowed with an entry fee of $50 per vehicle, payable to Greater Augusta’s Interfaith Coalition, 2807 Washington Road, Suite B-259, Augusta, GA 30909, by Friday.

Lineup begins at 11 a.m. behind the Performing Arts Center, 850 Ronald Reagan Drive. The parade route begins at the center, turns right on North Belair Road, crosses Washington Road, and proceeds to the intersection of Belair and Columbia roads.
