You voted: Here’s the Augusta-area Week 11 high school football Player of the Week

Westside’s Zay Green is this week’s Augusta Chronicle high school football Player of the Week. He received 50 percent of the vote.

Green had 249 rushing yards and three touchdowns — two over 60 yards — in the Patriots’ shutout win over Oglethorpe County.

Westside travels to Thomasville in the first round of the Georgia High School Association Class AA playoffs this weekend.

Richmond Academy’s Chris Murray was second, receiving 43 percent of the vote. Jontavious Curry, also from ARC, finished third, receiving 4 percent of the vote.

This was the final player of the week poll of the 2020 football season. Stay tuned when The Augusta Chronicle announces its player of the year, later this year.
