AUGUSTA, Ga – Augusta University women’s basketball player Tomiyah Alford averaged 17.5 points and 8.0 rebounds per game as Augusta picked up a pair of wins to improve to 6-1 on the year. The junior guard from Barnesville, Ga., scored 16 points with five rebounds in a 62-48 win at Claflin, handing the Panthers only their second loss of the season. She followed that with 19 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Livingstone, her first double-double of the year and a season-high in rebounds. She added 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Alford is currently ranked fourth in the PBC in scoring, second in field goal percentage and 13th in rebounding.
