For Brigid Douglas Jones there’s no place quite like home.  When she got engaged, she knew exactly where she wanted to have her reception – at her family home.

One of nine, the bride grew up with two sisters and six brothers in a house full of love. “My family home is one of the most special places to me. It’s where my dad grew up,” Brigid explained. “It holds lots of memories for me and my family.”

As the final touches were being made for the reception, Brigid and her bridesmaids spent the day getting ready at her sister’s home. It was there that another treasured moment occurred: the first look with her father.

“My dad is really old-fashioned,” Brigid said. “So having a first look with my dad was such a precious moment.”

When it came time to get married, Brigid’s childhood priest, Fr. Jerry Ragan, returned to Augusta to officiate the ceremony at St. Mary on the Hill Catholic Church. After the ceremony, the couple joined their guests for a fabulous evening of food and dancing under a stunning tent designed by Clyde Farr Designs at the Douglas home.

One of the “must haves” for Brigid was a great band. The bride hired the Atlanta Party Fanatics.

“I wanted people to dance to great music and have a good time,” she said. “Having a great band was really important. They were amazing and it was truly a wonderful evening.”
