“The best part of the entire week was spending the time with our family,” Maggie said. “It was really the most precious family time in a place that is so special to all of us.”

• With the bride and groom both living in New York City, the couple relied heavily on Maggie’s mother, Alice Salley, to handle most of the planning details.
• The bride and groom wanted an intimate family wedding and the ability to spend quality time with those they love the most.
• Growing up, Maggie’s grandparents had a home in Cashiers, N.C., which has always been a special place for their family. When it came time to decide on where to get married, she knew just the place, and as luck would have it — her future husband loved it, too!
