IV hydration therapy has become a trusted solution for those looking to feel more radiant and revitalized. Once a niche wellness trend, these vitamin and mineral infusions have grown significantly in popularity across the Savannah River Region over the last few years. If you’re ready to try it for yourself, we’ve rounded up three local providers to help you go for the glow. Ready to drip?

A Radiant Approach

Latin for “let life shine,” Luceat Vita was born out of the health needs of Danielle Huggins and Melissa Reese, who, plagued with long-haul Covid, sought out all the traditional medical treatments, but were still both very ill. Huggins struggled with waves of insomnia due to the steroids she was taking.

“The steroids wrecked my Circadian rhythm,” says Huggins, “so I began looking at modalities such as cellular regeneration, red light therapy and halotherapy.”

In August 2023, after comparing notes on their wellness journeys, the pair opened their health spa, designed to ease the anxiety people may feel about visiting a wellness facility.

“We want to bring down their stress levels the moment they walk in,” says Huggins of her clients. “The air is scented with calming essential oils, we use blue light therapy and the music is designed to help the individual feel calm. They can get comfy in a chair with a blanket and a beverage. They can get tucked in if they want. We strive to do whatever we can to give them a wonderful experience where they don’t feel like they’re in a clinical environment.”

Huggins says pain, inflammation and just not feeling like oneself are the most common issues reported at Luceat Vita. But the wellness center also sees those who are taking a proactive approach to their lymphatic functionality and are looking for natural alternatives to liposuction or other medical procedures. IV hydration, she says, helps the body enhance absorption of vitamins and minerals that are lacking in the processed food we eat today.

“It helps from the inside out,” says Huggins, “so we look and feel more youthful. So, we have that same ‘bounce-back’ potential we did when we were younger. We’re living longer than we used to. Using cellular regeneration to the fullest potential helps us to do the things we want to do and gives us the energy and brain space to get through the day.”

Luceat Vita’s clients take part in a virtual consultation with medical staff to address any clearances required before starting treatment. When they come through the doors, they then consult a menu of options before determining a protocol with the staff.

It’s all about education, says Huggins.

“We want to know about what people are experiencing in their lives, to help the individual learn a little more about functional medicine’s tactics and treatments, so they can understand how different treatments can help.”
