“It was exactly what we wanted. Beautiful mountains in the background — the lake, the inn that is a beautiful historic home. We wanted the event to be on the smaller side with family and close friends,” said Catherine. “We wanted a cool destination, and The Greystone Inn was the perfect place.”

• Catherine and Aaron relied on the impeccable taste of the bride’s mother and aunt for the choice of the venue. Both were thrilled when they arrived and saw it in person for the first time a few days before the wedding.
• After the ceremony, the bridal party boarded The Greystone’s handcrafted mahogany boat, The Miss Lucy, named after the inn’s original owner Lucy Armstrong, a Savannah heiress. The group enjoyed a champagne toast on the sunlit lake.
• The Jewish chair dance at the couple’s reception elevated the fun of the night, making it a festive dance floor party enjoyed by all.
• Halfway through the ceremony on what had previously been a very cloudy day, the bride noticed the clouds parting and she felt the sun. The bride’s mothers and aunts agreed the moment seemed to be a blessing from her beloved late grandmother.
