  • Rebecca’s “something blue” was her grandmother’s 50th anniversary diamond and sapphire ring.
  • Her veil was the same veil her mother wore for her wedding. The bride also had a sixpence from her aunt in her shoe.
  • Her grandmother’s Kewpie Doll cake topper sat atop the couple’s wedding cake. The doll was also used on her mother’s and oldest sister’s wedding cake.
  • The First Presbyterian Churchhas held significance as an important part of the McGahee family — the marraige of her parents, her baptism, the wedding of her sister and now her own.
  • Reverend John Franks, Rebecca’s youth pastor in middle and high school, officiated their ceremony.
