“We made a sunset ‘fake’ getaway in the plane. That moment was so special because it was just the two of us,” Rachel said. “As we flew over downtown … we were able to spend a quiet moment together as a couple before heading back to the ongoing reception at the hanger.”

  • The floral chandelier was roughly 11 feet in diameter and crafted completely by the groom, Mark. The couple knew they wanted it to be the spotlight of the event. It also was a perfect focal point for the cavernous hanger that accommodated 380 guests of family and friends.
  • Heirloom family china decorated the head table at the reception. The pieces have been passed down and used repeatedly by members of the groom’s large family. He is one of 10 siblings.
  • Rachel reached out to local artist, Autumn Von Plinsky, to create paintings of the church and venue for a uniquely stunning “save-the-date” invitation.
